Transferring mobile number Issues

Received a text - 

Hi - good news! Your number has switched to iD Mobile, and your account with your previous provider has been disconnected. Please restart your phone before continuing. Having issues with your phone or service after switching? No worries - you may need to update your settings. 


Done all of the suggested fixes. However, under my messages, the id mobile number is still showing rather than the number I transferred. 
 

Still can’t send text messages.

Thank you. I have figured it out. Had to get rid of all the details on my old phone and reset the old phone. It worked.
