Upgrading my phone and now the pictures/gallery are not working

i have just upgraded my phone a Samsung to a samsung and all my pictures are now coming up as a negative. All my pictures/gallery are corrupt. What shall i do to restore to the orignal set up? thanks

It may be worth deleting the pictures and transferring all the images again.
