Why is my first bill payment more than the invoice stated?

Hi, My contract started on 11th April, and I was sent an email saying my bill for the first month would be one amount, yet you have taken out the full monthly rental amount.  Why is this?

Sounds like a mistake, or perhaps something has been misunderstood, @Paul Mathersmith

Forum members can’t look at your iD account @Paul Mathersmith, for privacy and security reasons, so you might want to Live Chat online with iD support about your billing issue. 

The advisers work until 8pm on weekdays.

Okay @Paul Mathersmith, access iD Live Chat at https://idmobile.co.uk/live-chat - if this doesn’t seem to be working, sometimes the following can help:

  • Allowing popup windows in your web browser
  • Using a different web browser
  • Using an incognito / private window in your web browser

The iD Mobile chatbot works 24/7, and the advisers work until 8pm on weekdays.

Alternatively, you can send a private message to iD support from their pages on social media, by using Facebook Messenger or X (formerly Twitter).

Hi @Paul Mathersmith, your first bill is always taken on or around 14-days after the account is connected. This is your first month’s bill at the full line rental price. If you’ve selected a specific direct debit date at checkout, your next bill will come out on that date.
