I bought an upgrade from 3G to 4G but this does not register on my phone. Is there something else I should do?

Thanks - my previous contract was several years old and still shows on my phone settings as 2G/3G. I’ve just bought an upgrade but currently the settings on my phone still show as above. I’m now being charged for my upgrade but the settings haven’t changed on my phone yet. Maybe I’m being too impatient.
Have you purchased a handset upgrade,
An iD SIM card will work with 3G, 4G and 5G, if the handset has these network capabilities, and signal reception is good enough.
2G has NEVER been available with iD Mobile.

Dealt with thank you. I think my SIM card was at least 8 years old and on my Samsung 21 the network was shown as 2G/3G. This message is still on the screen but also VoLTE calls SIM 1 new which I have checked is 4G so no problem. I just had to upgrade.

It sounds like a new SIM was needed to get this resolved.
