My phone doesn't make calls, it just cancels them while dialling

When I am trying to call anyone, my phone cancels the call before I even hear the dial tone. I can't use my phone and this is really making my life difficult.

Will we ever be able to use iD sims in non-smartphones?

A while ago when I first took out an iD phone monthly sim, I wasn't able to use it on my phone because it wasn't a smartphone (had to be some generation of device). I would greatly appreciate being able to use it in a dumbphone.
