Changing my plan from a phone contract to SIM only and keeping my number

My 24 month contract is ending and I want to change to a SIM only deal and keep my current handset and phone number. On the app/website, it only lets me upgrade to a new phone, or when I go to “change plan”, the new plans there are much more expensive than the SIM only deals (considering I’ve already paid off the price of the phone in the past 24 months).I want to switch to a SIM only plan, but how can I do this without getting a whole new SIM card and number? I ordered a new SIM because I couldn’t see another way to do this (using the same name, email address, details etc), but now I feel like ID hasn’t processed that I’m the same customer just trying to change plans.Will I need to cancel my original ID contract, lose my number, and start from scratch? Surely there must be a smoother way of changing plans and keeping my phone number?Looking forward to your help!
