New ID mobile contract, how to continue with same number?

I’ve updated to new contract with ID Mobile (was already with them), when I got the new SIM I put it in my phone and it told me I had a new number. I now realise I probably should have registered it but not put SiM in phone.  
what should I do now?  I want to have my old number with the new contract.

Hey @Beth M 

Sounds like you purchased a new contract instead of upgrading.

We can’t do internal number ports.

You can either:

  • Cancel the new contract and upgrade the old one 
  • Cancel the old contract and keep the new number
  • Perform a triangle port (porting the old number to a different PAYG network then back to iD on the new contract)
