why the new sim?

I’ve just changed the ID sim only contract on my daughters phone as she was running out of data.

With a few hours, her current sim was loaded with more data.

today she received a new sim card in the post.

does she need it? The data seems to be already on her old sim, or is this just temporary?

Okay @KerryS, iD Mobile usually send out a new (inactive) SIM card whenever a customer changes, or upgrades their iD plan.

You’d only need to use the new SIM if your old SIM didn’t fit in the handset she’d be using after changing/upgrading.

Otherwise, just keep the new SIM in a safe place - good luck @KerryS.

Hey @KerryS,

As above, it’s a blank SIM so won’t need to be used.

We hope to address this later this year as we’ve already stopped sending replacement SIMs with handset upgrades and expect this to stop soon.
