Cant send text - phone number not formatted correctly.

When trying to text my partner it fails about 50% of the time due to "phone number not formatted correctly". The number is correct. I have tried changing it between +44 and 07 on the start of the number. Any ideas?

Hello @Hawk196,

Are you using the Android Messaging App?

Have you also checked your SMSC -Message Centre Number, what shows? I believe this is found by dialling *#*#4636#*#*

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestion, Mohammed. I tried this and nothing showed in the SMSC section so I pressed refresh and a number appeared. I don't really understand what this is?

Thanks

Hello @Hawk196  can you confirm what the number is please?

The SMSC number (Message Center Number) is used for the SMS service.

So if this isn’t correct then it’ll cause issues with texting.
