Keeping same phone number

Hi, 

I have had a pay monthly sim only contract with ID for my old iphone 5s and i have bought a new contract on ID through Carphone Warehouse with a new handset Iphone SE, i was now hoping to transfer my old number to the new phone but as i’ve got a different email address it looks as though this might not be possible despite already having an ID account, I would therefore like to check whether there is any way to keep the old number on my new phone? Thanks. Beth

Hi @bgraham94,

If you have bought a brand new plan rather than purchasing an upgrade then you will have been given a new number and we can’t move your old number onto the new plan.

The only ways around this would be to either return your new order and try to upgrade your existing SIM-only contract or port your old number away to a different network and then back to us on the new plan.
