Why can't I change the account owner?

My mum opened the account for me in her name 2 years ago. I now pay the bills and use the phone myself, why can't I change the account owner name from hers to mine?

It's really frustrating and it makes no sense.

Hi Maryam4, we do not offer the option to change the account owner but you may be able to take out an account in your name subject to the normal application process.

maybe get a new sim in new owners name and cancel old account while transfering number with PUK?
