I am hoping to go to Australia this year.  I have been there before and I love the place, I have a friend in Melbourne who lost her husband last year so I would love to see her.

The New Year means new holidays, especially when we’re still stuck in frosty winter and dreaming of some sunshine! But knowing where to go and how to plan can get pretty overwhelming – especially when you want to get the most out of your precious annual leave.

Fortunately, the phone in your pocket has all the answers. There are loads of great apps out there that can help you find the ideal holiday based on your preferences and budget, so the stress doesn’t need to start until you’re running through the airport trying to find your gate!

Check out these 10 apps to help take care of the holiday plans:

1.Hopper

Hopper specialises in cheap flights, but it covers hotels and car rentals too. It analyses billions of flights to find the best deals and predicts when prices will be lowest. It’ll even let you freeze prices for later booking. You can also set up alerts for the flights you're interested in, so you know when to book.

2.Skyscanner

Skyscanner has become a favourite in recent years as it’s great at finding the cheapest flights, no matter where you want to go. You can also set up alerts for specific routes, so you'll be notified when the prices change.

3.Secret Escapes

We have travelled all over the world but unfortunately at the moment we have to travel close to home because of father in law has alzheimer's and dementia .

Anyway on a positive note we love going to Vilamoura Portugal its Marina has won yet again best marina in the world . They are expanding it again 50 million euros has been allocated .  If you go there is a lovely walk and bike ride are right in between the 2 dual carriageways and its lovely with numerous flower beds flat and safe plus free training stations along the route.

Little tip Uber operates there and is very active hence the cheap price of pick ups .

Vilamoura was voted one of the safest places to go in the world .

Hope this helps everyone and good luck to everyone. Regards Peter & Carolyn

Caravanning in the UK

Just booked Greenland!

Bergamo, Italy… can’t wait!

I would love to visit the temples of the Aztecs and Mayans in Mexico

I’m planning on Visiting Alamfi Coast for a first time. I plan on making a few blogs to post online, so look out for me on YouTube. Sometimes I travel alone but I will welcome a friend if the timing is good. If I take a camera

as in android phone I understand the views are so captivating up there, yes another journey to dream about.

Norfolk

We have travelled the world on cruises but 2 countries we've never been to are coming up this year . Canada and Niagara fall's in May then November the golden triangle of India, both with a cruise as well, we're counting the days

I'm going to Lanzarote for a week and Athens for a few days. Skyscanner had already helped book the flights for one of these trips! Who knows, if I can find a cheap holiday might go elsewhere too

I am heading off to the sunny island of Lanzarote, looking forward to some scuba diving and a bit of golf and mainly relaxing round the pool.
