Hi 

I have a Motorola G200 5G but I am unable to access 5G when in a 5G area. Is there a setting that needs to be enabled?

Have you had 5G ever while using the iD Mobile SIM card in the G200?

 

Taking a look it isn’t a device we’d support, so you may not be able to use it.

No I have not been able to accessed 5G with ID sim, although phone is 5G enabled.

Hey @Bronco, iD’s @Tom says the Motorola G200 isn’t currently supported for 5G use on the iD Mobile network.

I doubt iD will ever support the G200 because Motorola don’t have a big market share in the UK to warrant testing their devices for 5G compatibility on iD Mobile’s network - anyway, good luck.

I don't understand, iD mobile support Motorola's Edge 20, Edge 20 Lite, Edge Pro, G50, G53, G62, G73 & G82. Some of these models are older than the G200 (e.g. Edge 20).

If Motorola doesn't have a big enough market share in the UK to warrant testing their devices, why have the devices above been tested?

  • Motorola Edge 20 Pro

  • Motorola G50
  • Motorola G53 5G
  • Motorola G62 5G

  • Motorola G73 5G

  • Motorola G82 5G
