Armed Forces Covenant

Can anyone clarify where iD stands on the Armed Forces Covenant?

I’m about to deploy overseas for 6 months and would like to take a contract break so that I’m not paying for a service I can’t use. I’m not asking to get free service - would happily pay for the outstanding months on my contract after I return. Customer service aren’t being very helpful, even when I explain that I can provide evidence from my Unit Welfare Officer.

Hey @davidkerr04, military personnel are allowed to have up to 6 months’ worth of credits covered if they are deployed overseas.

To do this, we would just need proof of the situation to be sent into us. Proof can consist of either one of the two below documents:

  • An Armed Forces Contract Suspension Form from their Unit Welfare Officer
  • An MoD (Ministry of Defence) official letter, on letterheaded paper, in relation to the Tour Duty for the Customer
