Question

Best option for roaming in India?

Hi,

I'm travelling to India next month and was wondering if I'd be able to use my data and minutes whilst I'm there? Is there an option to buy an allowance before I go?

Thanks 😊

Hi @Npatel14 ,

Welcome to the Community!

When roaming outside of our EU roaming zone you would be charged per minute, text and MB of data.

It can be expensive as it is £1.50 per MB of data and you can find further information at the link below regarding charges.

It may be cheaper to use a local SIM whilst you are out there.

Will the text charge be 60p for the sender, but nothing for the receiver, if both sender and receiver are in India?

Hi @Mark Robinson,

I can see that we have also replied elsewhere but we will get back to you here also.

It looks like 60p is the most that you will be charged whilst in India.
