through a uswitch deal i can get a cheaper contract than the upgrade is offering but it is still with ID mobile, do i need to cancel my current plan and get PAC code for the new one as if im switching to a new provider. if not what do i do
Unfortunately, you can’t use a PAC to transfer a number from one iD account to another iD account
A PAC can only be used to transfer a number to a different service provider.
To move a number from one iD account to another iD account, you’ll need to transfer the number you want to keep to another service provider, then wait a couple days.
Finally, get another PAC to transfer the number you want to keep back to the iD account you plan to use going forward.
This procedure is sometimes referred to as a triangle port.
