I want to upgrade on my IDMobile app so I can keep my number and switch easier than starting a new account and new number. I have found better deals from ID Mobile on USwitch, with the same contract length. If I want to upgrade to the same thing on the app it's more expensive. Why is this the case ?

You cannot upgrade to an Uswitch advertised plan... These are third party companies offering discounted plans to new customers and in return they receive commission for introducing a new customer to iD mobile. Sign up for one if you want, but you will have to port out and then port back in if you want to keep your existing number.
