Hi, I’m looking to get my daughter a new phone for her birthday in 3 weeks time. She wants to keep her old mobile number, but I want the new phone to be a surprise on her birthday. Can I order the phone, then after I’ve given it to her request the PAC code so the number can be transferred then, or is this something that needs to be done when I order the new phone? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can surely request a PAC code at a later date, it doens’t need to be done so at the time of purchase.
Simply text PAC to the number 65075 from the iD SIM you wanted a PAC code.
You’ll then get texted a PAC code, so you can do this at a much later date too.
