I may come back to ID Mobile if I can use my old SIM, which I still have. Is this possible?

Hi @Rob Wynn

Unfortunately once an iD Mobile SIM is deactivated it’s unable to be reactivated, in this case we’d likely need to send you a new SIM card.

Thank you. It puzzles me that they can’t make it work again :(

I guess if iD was really environmentally friendly this might be an option - but in reality it would be difficult to implement.

An eSIM might be the answer, but these are not yet widely supported by the UK mobile networks.

Most likely answer is NO.

Put your old SIM in a phone and see if it’s active.

Your old iD SIM will not be active if you:

  • Closed your iD account.
  • Stopped paying your pay monthly bill.
  • If you did not do something chargeable every 120 days, with a PAYG SIM card.
