Change account to new number, but keep current number?

I want to transfer a number to my current account and sim so it can be used in a different phone without losing the contract. This can be done with a PAC code? If I transfer this number to my account will I lose my current number (which I want to put onto a new sim and contract)?

Hi @Bryony9,

 

I can confirm that if you port in a number to your current line, the current number would be lost forever with absolutely no way of retrieving it.

 

Best bet here would be to port your existing number out to another network if you wish to keep it, and then take out a new deal of which you can port the other number onto.

 

Please know though, and I can’t stress this enough, if you port one number over another, the other will be gone for good.
