I think my mobile number is being used by spammers

I keep receiving phone calls from random people saying they were calling me back as they had a missed call from me.

This has happened about 4 or 5 times over the past 2 weeks.

I can only assume my phone number is somehow being spoofed by spammers.

Any ideas what I can do to stop this? Ideally I’d like to keep my number if possible.

This is happening to me as well I am wondering if it’s an iPhone 13 thing

also only started after I installed a giff gaff eSIM could be coincidence
