There is no option for me to upgrade yet as it is still too early, but in the same section it says I can upgrade my plan for more data. I want to do this, but I wondered if my contract will restart if I do so?

If you are getting the following message below and click the change your plan option it’s likely that the plan change options will cost more than your current plan and wouldn’t extend the length of your contract.
Sorry, you can't upgrade right now because:
It's too early for you to upgrade.
You haven't been with us long enough to upgrade. Your eligibility date is **/**/**
Why not change your plan instead?
Not 100% happy with your current plan? You may be able to change it to one that suits you better.
