I bought a phone from idmobile but have been using another sim card to maintain my number. I now want to switch over to use the idmobile simcard. I have a PAC code to switch my number across. However, I cannot access anything as I don’t know the idmobile number I was given and therefore I can’t set up account. There seems to be no way of contacting idmobile without knowing your phone number.
I’m probably being really thick...

The SIM card you got with your new iD Mobile phone is ready to use
If you put your ‘new’ iD SIM into a phone, then call or text a family member or a friend, they should be able to give you the mobile number you’re after - good luck
