I was informed that my old number would be switched today, but nothing happening. Live chat does not seem to be operational at all, and there is no contact phone number. Any help?

Has your old service provider’s SIM stopped working
If it has, then your number transfer to iD has probably begun.
When I switched to iD Mobile, my number transfer was completed around 3pm on the switching date.
I expect I’m being impatient, and I realise that things take time. I just need the number to function for work purposes etc.
