my phone wont let me make international calls or send SMS messages

Since I started my contract in December I’ve been able to receive SMS messages but I’m unable to respond to them, with the messages simply failing to send. 
 

I’ve also been unable to make calls to international phone numbers, despite having an unlimited contact. Why is this happening?

Hi,

I had the similar issue with SMS, when it did send it kept showing the id mobile number provided and not ported number that I had given them.  Anyway, numerous attempts with tech and support got me nowhere. 

Long story short, I deleted the APN settings that came with the SIM and input settings for my particular manufacturers handset and it now works perfectly.

Tech services are useless.

Hi @Cm2686, international texts and calls are charged extra, so it sounds like you might have a £0.00 bill cap restricting you. You can check this in the iD Mobile app. While you’re there, it’ll be worth checking your Features to ensure International services are enabled, too.
