I’m new here.
entered all my details to transfer my old number over from EE a couple of weeks ago & was told within a business day that it had ported.
now various contacts telling me that texts are coming from the ID number I was given.
do I need to do the PAC transfer again?

You shouldn’t need another PAC. Are you using an iPhone? If so, could you please try the following for us:
1) Try turning off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2) then restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3) tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct.
4) If it is not correct, please enter the correct number)
5) then turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6) go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”
After this, turn the handset off for 10 minutes and you should be good to go.
Please let us know either way how you get on, or if it’s the case that you don’t have an iPhone.
