partial pac transfer

I’ve used a PAC code to transfer my old number when I joined ID. I received confirmation that the transfer was complete via text however my iMessage is not working (I have an iPhone 14 Pro)

I’ve looked at other threads and followed the guidance of switching my iMessage and Facetime off and then restarting, but that hasn’t worked. I’ve also removed my SIM card. 
Before doing the above, my proper number appeared in the “Send and receive” section but now it’s just the temporary number and my email. 

I’m unable to change my number in the Phone section.

I’ve tried to use Live Chat but they’ve been unable to help.

Can you live with having iMessage OFF, and just use SMS for text messages?

The iMessage service is 100% an Apple service, which needs an Internet data connection.

This type of issue can occur if Apple have the number you want to keep registered to a different Apple device. 
It can also happen if you use your new iPhone, and new iD SIM card together before your number is transferred to iD Mobile.

Hi @Fieldfield 

 

As @andewhite suggests iMessage and FaceTime are fully Apple’s services therefore iD Mobile would have no control over them, we only have control over the SIM card itself.

 

We’d recommend contacting Apple directly to see if they have any advice.
