Poor coverage in Cottingham area

Hi the coverage in Cottingham areas, such as Vine Close (HU16 5RF) and the Civic Hall area HU16 5QG are very poor, the 4G service is barely useable and 99% of time only got 3G services, can you please investigate?

Seems like Three UK are working on their network in the postcode areas you’ve identified. They have been working in my postcode area for the last 6 months.

Hi @Yong123, many apologies to the disruption in your service while we work on a fix. However, there are a few things that you’d be able to do to help in the meantime. 

If you’re able to try switching to 3G only, you may see some improvement, as this will boost coverage if there’s a temporary issue at the 4G mast.

In addition, if you have a compatible handset, you should be able to use WiFi Calling to boost the signal when connected to a WiFi network. This will help eliminate Blackspots: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/wifi-calling

Thanks for the advices. But if I have wifi coverage, I don’t need to use 4G service. The problem here is the data service offered by ID failed me when I needed it most. Do you know how long it will take to fix this disruption? many thanks.
