Porting a number after purchase

I’m looking to purchase a contract phone (Iphone12) as a Christmas present for my son. If I buy this now and save it until Christmas Day, will he still be able to port his old number to network. He’s currently with O2?

How long does it take to port from EE to iD as it has been over 48 hours so far

Hello @Mr Preserve,

Depends on when the port was submitted.

Ports submitted Friday/weekend don’t get picked up until Monday to complete on Tuesday.

 

That said, there were some delays with ports.

Can you confirm if this is now sorted?
