RPI @4% does equate 20% price hike

If the CPI/RPI increase is based on just under 4% as stated in emails from iD, why has my bill gone up by 20%?

CPI went up 10.5% if my memory serves me right… Let’s not forget the rip off 3.9% many of the mobile networks add on top of that. So, prices went up by 14.4%!

24-month customers who purchased between 1st November 2022 and 31st January 2023 will have their line rental increased by 14% (CPI rate of 10.1% +3.9%).

Yes this has pretty much guaranteed I'll be buying a cheap phone with a dirt cheap SIM deal when I'm out of this contract.
