I have just moved to sim only deal and thought you just carried on with existing sim but have now received a new sim in post do I have to change it over and how do I get my existing information from my old sim on to my new one

Okay @Mick Osborne, if you’ve changed or upgraded to another iD plan, while you were logged in to your My Account online (or iD app), you can carry on using your ‘old’ SIM with your handset - if it fits the handset.

iD Mobile only send a ‘new’ SIM, when upgrade, in case your ‘old’ SIM doesn’t fit the handset you intend to use with your ‘new’ iD plan.

The ‘new’ SIM you received isn’t active - so keep it safe just in case.

I’d recommend the above suggestions from @andewhite!

 

As long as you’ve processed an upgrade and the old SIM is still usable, I’d recommend using the old SIM and keeping the new one as a spare!

 

If you for any reason want to use the new SIM you’ll be able to activate it on the iD Mobile App!
