Sim wont activate?!

I have recently upgraded my plan and received a new sim to go with it. I inserted it and activated it, over 24hrs later and nothing has happened. I do not have any signal but my dashboard states the plan is active. 
 

I need my phone for work, does someone have an answer?????

Okay @BrotherBruce,

Your plan will be active even if your SIM is not, so the dashboard is useless in this case.

Have you checked for network problems in your area, using the following page:

Network Status Checker - check your signal and get support | Three

Does your upgrade SIM work in a different handset?

If not, you may need to get a replacement SIM from iD.

Hello @BrotherBruce,

Have you tried restarting the phone? This often updates the SIM to restore services
