Switching number using PAC not working

I have switched my number using PAC code from EE which said it would switch on the 9th October. I have not received any confirmation that it has switched but people can call and receive calls using my old number. However, I cannot receive texts to or from that number. Additionally, when trying to send texts, they will not send. 

 

So firstly, when will my number be switched over. And how can the calls work but not the texts with my original number. 

 

Secondly, irrelevant of the number, why are my texts not sending?

If you are using an iPhone it may be worth trying the below:

1)    Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2)    Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3)    Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct. 
4)    If it is not correct, please enter the correct number
5)    Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6)    Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”. 

Please also try and reset your network settings if the above doesn’t work.

If this doesn’t work, please confirm the make and model of the handset and error you are getting.
