text message sending failure new sim

I have just switched to ID my old number has ported however when I send text messages it says messages undelivered but the messages are getting to the recipient.

When exactly did the porting of your number take place? Today?

Hi @Glynn Sal, are you still having problems with this? If so, I’d recommend the following steps.

 

iPhone

  • 1) Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
  • 2) Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
  • 3) Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct.
  • 4) If it is not correct, please enter the correct number
  • 5) Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
  • 6) Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under "Start new conversations from:"

 

Android

  • Open Messages
  • Tap More options > Settings > Chat features.
  • Toggle ‘Enable chat features’ OFF, wait 15 minutes and turn them ON again
  • If texts still don’t send after turning chat features on again, consider keeping them turned off

I have just joined the Community, as my text messages were marked as not delivered, even though they were being received by the recipient!
