I have the same problem as simon3030
in that I've also had my phone for a while, and my ID account for much longer and my phone won't connect to any landline numbers at all, although mobile numbers are ok.
I’ve tried the sim in another phone and it is the same no contact to landline numbers it says the numbers are not recognised whether its from contacts or typed on the keypad.
any ideas?

When you are making the call, are you ensuring that the number starts with either 01, 02, or 03?

Yes I am using the area code. As I said I have been using contacts and the keypad neither work.
I have had mobiles for over 10 years now and this has never happened before.
I have also tried this SIM in another phone and the same thing happens.
