Unable to use data

I’m unable to use data on my phone since yesterday evening. I have plenty left and my tablet can use the hotspot but my phone can’t. It’s an iPhone XR. Wasted 45 mins on the chat today getting nowhere and can’t believe how bad the service is when there is no one to actually speak to. I’ve done all the checks switched on and off etc. Can anyone help?

Have you double-checked that your mobile data is turned ON?

It is usually controlled from:

Settings > Mobile Data with the Mobile Data toggle switch.
