Very high data consuption

Hi,

 I am a new customer to ID mobile. Just for curiosity I wanted to check the internet speed when using ID mobile network (three network). It was a very fast with 5G however, it consumed nearly 1GB of data. I used speedtest.net and fast.com to do that and twice I have lost about 1GB of my data allowance. Do you know why something like this happened?

My phone: Motorola moto g50

Hello @JPolo,

So with faster speeds, your phone is able to load much much more information.

e.g. opening a web page can end up loading all pictures, videos etc and this means your phone can use data at a much faster rate.

For speed tests, you are essentially downloading a file onto your phone to test to see how fast your speeds are and this is essentially using data also.

I’d recommend looking at switching to a higher data plan as this may be more conveneint for you!
