Got a new Iphone 11, with imported number from 3. Iphone keeps saying SMS message not delivered , but does deliver message, but 3 times to my other Android Galaxy S10 phone, also on id. I have tried to reset the number in settings and turn off i message and then turn it back on again, but it will not save the imported number, it keeps defaulting to the number given from id on the sim card. 

Any ideas or help please.

Hi @VivT25, this is pretty common on iPhones after a number port. Could you please try the following for me? Before you start, you may wish to turn off your phone, remove the SIM, wait 15 minutes, then begin.

 

1) Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)

2) Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)

3) Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct.

4) If it is not correct, please enter the correct number

5) Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)

6) Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under "Start new conversations from:"
