so i recently got a contract phone via carphone warehouse and was asked to call. waited 45 min in the queue only to be told that because I just took out a contract with Id i cant take out another for 3 months?

We’d only say you can’t take a 2nd line out based on credit rather than just setting a timeframe of 3 months. Unless it was an Internal Security issue. Did they give any specific reason other than just saying 3 months?
