Only had this phone since December, I did change the billing day to the end of the month I haven’t changed my plan. I do understand my bill was more this month as I changed the direct debit date but since I’ve had the phone I have only £5 cap data remaining even though I payed Decembers and January’s my data hasn’t renewed

Hello @Jayabi,

This will be due to your Direct Debit date change.

Your Direct Debit is taken 14-days after your bill is produced.

We can’t change the Direct Debit date to bill you later/before this period.

Therefore when you submit a change, we change your bill date

We can never move your bill date backwards, only to a date in the future.

e.g. if your bills were produced on the 2nd of each month, payment for this is taken on the 16th.

If you wanted a payment date of the 15th, this means your bill date needs to be changed to the 1st. We can’t bring it backwards to the 1st of this month as the time has past and you’ve already been charged for this.

So we push it forward to the next 1st available. Your line rental in this case would have already been charged until the 1st of next month, so your bill gets pushed back essentially 2 months.

This means a bill is not produced for next month but will be for the following.

This is what’s happened in your case and if you look at the dates on the bill for line rentla, it will be covering more than 30-days.

This only happens the first time. Your next bill following should be as normal.

Mohammed
