Charge for Calls When Plan is Unlimitied

Hi, I have been trying to contact someone at ID without success. I changed my plan to unlimited minutes from 250 per month. However, now I have reached 250 mins, I am getting texts to say I will be charged 40p per minute for any new calls. My plan started 11th Jan 2020 and shows as unlimited online but I still keep getting the texts. Can anybody please help ?

How many texts have you received advising this?

The way your plan is broken down is by baskets.

You’ll have one for minutes one for texts and one for data.

Limited allowances and unlimited allowances are recorded separately.

 

So if you had 500 minutes and changed to 1000 minutes, then the 500 would just be upped.

If you went from 500 to unlimited, what happens is a separate basket is added for “unlimited” so at the time you process the change, your account will have whatever your current allowances were left + the unlimited but both active at the same time.

Your finite allowances will be used up first, triggering the text, but then the unlimited kicks in right away and voids the charges since you have unlimited.

 

Then when your plan refreshes on the next billing month, the finite basket drops off stopping this from happening again.

As long as the app shows unlimited you will be fine.

 

If the issue persists after your plan has refreshed, let us know.
