Why am I being charged for multi media when I’m connected to wifi
multi media charges
Hey there
All MMS messages are charged, whether on Wi-Fi or not, if sent via a normal text message.
If you send an MMS via iMessage for example, when you’re on Wi-Fi, and the other person is on iMessage, you wouldn’t be charged. However, if you’re on iMessage/Wi-Fi, and the other person doesn’t have an iPhone, then it’d send as a normal MMS message, meaning you’d still be charged.
We’d recommend using other apps such as Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp etc for MMS messages if you don’t want to be charged, or changing your bill cap to £0.00 to stop any out of contract charges going through.
Thanks,
Tyler
