I have an iPhone 6 on contract with 4 months left. The screen is completely broken and the phone is no longer useable. Will I have to cancel my contract early the regular way and would I be able to keep my phone number?

My contract phone has broken with 4 months left, so I’ve ordered a new monthly one that’s due to arrive today, but I cannot cancel my old contract. Every link I follow for it is broken and I cannot get through to a chat agent. I can’t use the app or call on account of my phone being broken. I need to cancel, how do I do it? Can someone contact me?
