Changing Plan isn't working on the site or the mobile app

I tried to change my plan using the iD mobile app but I kept getting an error message telling me to try again later, I then tried online and had the exact same issue. Why is this the case? How long do I have to wait before this unknown error is resolved?

Hello @Peter Turner,

I recommend using iD Live Chat to get this solved. Just go to:

https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat/

You might have to tell the chat bot you want to “talk to a person”, but it’s staffed 9am - 6pm, weekends and bank holidays.

Can you advise what sort or contract you currently have?

Also when did you last change your plan?

My current contract is £12 a month for unlimited calls and texts and 10GB of data, I want to switch to £10 a month for 15GB and unlimited texts and calls. I can’t remember when I last changed plan, but it would have been a while ago.

Hi @Peter Turner,

If your account is up to date with payments etc you shouldn’t experience any issues.

Please could you try again and let us know how you get on.

• Log in to your app or My Account.

• Go to the 'My Account' page.

• Go to ‘My Plan’, then ‘Change my plan’.

• Choose a new plan from the ones listed, and 'confirm'.
