I have recently started a sim only contract after the last contract being terminated.
The last contract was in someone else’s name which I was paying out of my account for several years, however I couldn’t transfer ownership into my name.
I set up a new pay monthly contract in my name and have everything I need however I can’t transfer a number on the same network?
The live chat isn’t working and I’m not sure what to do next, can anyone help me please?
How do I keep a telephone number?
You could port the number you want to keep to a pay-as-you-go SIM (e.g. giffgaff).
Once you’ve got your number working with giffgaff, get a PAC from them and port the number you want to keep back to the iD account you want to use.
If live chat doesn’t work, try using Facebook Messenger, or send a Twitter direct message, for private assistance from iD Mobile for your iD account
The support teams work until 8pm on weekdays (and 6pm at weekends).
