how to unlock old samsung galaxy A5

Hi I have an old Samsung galaxy A5 which I want to give to my Granddaughter as her phone broke.

It's locked to ID mobile I have the IMEI number who do I contact to do this.

We’ve never locked Android devices on our network, your device should be unlocked to any network if it was from us.

 

We only ever locked iPhones that were made before 2018, iPhones after that any any Android phones are unlocked.

Hi Tom yes the phone was from ID mobile 2017 /2018.I did go on live chat the other day and they have said I need to go to any Currys store and purchase a sim from them ?

Or I could get a free sim but it would be on my account as its for my teenage grandaughter, it's best she just has a PAYG sim.

So are you saying all I need to do is buy aPAYG  sim card from anywhere and it will be okay for her to use.
