Try:

  1. Turn your phone OFF for at least 30 minutes.
  2. If (1) doesn’t work, try a Network Reset.

Hi,

Tried both options and it is still not recognising the old number I'm afraid.

Okay @ANDREW HAYLOCK, don’t post personal information in this forum.

Anyone with Internet access can read posts in this forum, and there are scammers out there looking for email addresses, mobile numbers, et cetera.

I recommend you edit your post and remove the email address.

Anyway, when you sign-in at https://appleid.apple.com with your Apple ID - and look at your Devices, do you see the correct mobile number against your iPhone device?

Thanks for the heads up on that!

I have just checked and the correct mobile number is showing on the new device and I have cancelled my old phone from there as well.

Hi @ANDREW HAYLOCK

Please could you try the following?

1) Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2) Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3) Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct.
4) If it is not correct, please enter the correct number
5) Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6) Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under "Start new conversations from:"

If you are having issues with the above please retry with flight mode enabled and/or the SIM card removed.
