iMessage issue since porting

Hi I switched to ID mobile a few days ago. Used the PAC code to keep my number. My iMessages are showing my email address as my ID not my name and phone number. 
I have gone on to messages on the send and receive and cannot switch to my phone number,  it just keeps verifying, then saying this number in use with another account. Any ideas? Please

Hey @Jojop,

Usually the fix for this involves: 

1)    Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2)    Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3)    Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct. 
4)    If it is not correct, please enter the correct number
5)    Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6)    Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”. 

Try turning off iMessage fully and see if this works.

Sometimes it takes some time for it to update.
