loud speaker needed in voice calls

Whenever I make or receive a voice call the recipient or the person that called me cannot hear me (I hear them) unless I activate the load speaker. When the connection is made I am then able to deactivate the loud speaker. i have Sony 10 iv

It sounds like it may be a faulty handset.

Are you able to test the SIM in a different handset and see if that makes a difference.
