Hi

Went to text a group chat and they all asked if I’ve got a new number. They told me I was texting from a new one.
They can’t text my original number yet they can still call it.

Live Chat won’t work as well, so I’ve come here to seek advice.
Anyone able to help?

Hello @Jack Judge,

What type of phone do you have?
What error message do you get when trying the Live Chat service?

Thanks.

the Live Chat just won’t open. Tried on my PC and phone just doesn’t launch.

Thanks @Jack Judge,

Have you checked the following settings show your correct mobile number?

Settings > Phone > My Number
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive
Settings > Facetime
Settings > Apple ID, iCloud, Media & Purchases > Your device (Device Info)

Anyway, good luck!

Think “Settings > Messages > Send & Receive” has done it.
Found 2 addresses within the settings and the original number wasn’t selected. Don’t know why it changed but thank you very much! :)

Actually I’ve just selected it, tried to send a message, it’s told me that “iMessage needs to be turned on to send a message”, gone back to my settings and turned iMessage off and on, and my original number isn’t there anymore...

Okay thanks @Jack Judge, you might want to sign-in to your Apple account (Apple ID) check everything is correct and remove any old devices from your Apple account.
These could confuse matters now and in the future, especially if they’re mobile devices.

One more thing @Jack Judge, check the devices listed in iCloud as well.
Double-check the devices listed on the iCloud Find My iPhone page - good luck!
